By downloading or using the FoodTrust app ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FoodTrust, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FoodTrust provides food product information including health scores, ingredient analysis, allergen alerts, and healthier product alternatives. All information is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Account Deletion

You may delete your FoodTrust account directly in the app from Profile → Delete Account. Account deletion permanently removes your account and associated cloud data from FoodTrust systems, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or payment record purposes.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• FoodTrust offers a free tier and optional Premium subscription plans.
• Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. All payments are processed by Apple, and FoodTrust does not receive your payment card details.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
• Any free trial, if offered, may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where permitted by Apple’s rules.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The food scores, allergen information, ingredient analysis, and product data provided by FoodTrust are based on third-party and publicly available data sources, including product databases that may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or changed by manufacturers. FoodTrust is provided for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Always read product labels and consult a healthcare provider for medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, dietary restrictions, or health concerns.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FoodTrust shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any adverse health events resulting from reliance on food information provided.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and code of the FoodTrust app and website are owned by FoodTrust and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
